POSITION: CONTROLLER UNITS X10 (GENERATION) LETHABO POWER STATION
- Area of Speacialization: To control the operations of a boiler/turbo generator unit
- Department: Operating

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
- Grade 12 or N3 with Maths & Science plus NQF 5 National Diploma in Power Plant Process Control Operations, or
- NQF 6 Occupational Certificate Fossil Power Plant Process Controller.
Experience:
- 4 years’ experience (2 years as Plant Operator and 2 years as Senior Plant Operator Units).
SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES:
- Power plant controller.
- Computer literacy.
- Fossil fuel fired regulations (Authorization).
- Communication.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operate plant under normal and emergency conditions.
- Monitor unit process.
- Maintain correct unit conditions during start up, controlled shutdown and normal operations.
- Perform administrative activities.
- Control plant defect notifications.
- Assist with the development of staff.
- Perform any other legitimate activity as required.
